Teacher Resources

 May we assist you?

St. Johns Regional Audubon (SJRA) would be honored to help you enrich your students’ education.

Here is a list of some fun educational activities that we can provide or assist with and links to materials you can use in the classroom. We have also included a link to our Grant Application for Teachers who want to include a bird or bird habitat focused lesson or project.

  • Provide bird walk leaders for nature walks at a local park in your area or near school grounds if appropriate.
  • Provide grant money for teachers & student projects focused on birds and/or bird habitat. (See buttons below.)
  • Provide information.
  • Provide an independent study program for high school students needing community service credits (please see our Young Birders webpage).
  • Provide classroom presentations on birding in St. Johns and Putnam Counties. We have Powerpoint presentations, hands on activities, games for learning about birds and habitat with information provided by the National Audubon Society, Cornell Lab of Ornithology, and FWC’s Flying Wild
  • Assist you in obtaining materials from Audubon Adventures, which has standards-based science content focused on grades 3 – 5 (but adaptable as well.)
